What does a city look like, designed around a human society rather than indifferent or hodge-podge business interests?
What does it look like if people care about the Earth and health first? How about interconnections from farming to the city or the city to the wild? From differing scales of fractal domains: villages to townships to cities?
Here're four factors:
- Signage: how do people find out about items of safety or interest?
- Transport networks: how do people get there?
- Building architecture: what design helps people accomplish their goals?
- Urban architecture and social interconnection points: how to facilitate serendipitous interactions that were not planned for to break the limits of the Known?
Other seedier factors:
- Human waste elimination
- Storm drain networks to offer sufficient flow
- Communications networks (telephone, data)
- Power distribution
