History[edit]
The Geek Group was founded in 1994. It moved locations several times before coming to Grand Rapids in 2010.
During 2017 and 2018, The Geek Group slowly rebranded itself as The National Science Institute, eventually dropping the "The Geek Group" name altogether.
In the December of 2018, The Geek Group (now fully The National Science Institute) was raided by several federal authorities[1], fully shutting down on December 31[2].
