User:Average/Law of the Eternal

The Law of the Eternal states that if there even exists the possibility of something, then that thing exists, ipso facto. For in the space of infinite possibility and boundless time, everything exists at once (cf. Quantum Superposition), since the probability of any proposition reaches 1.0 in the limit. However, like the vast field of irrational numbers, the probability of finding it may be zero. Though note, that the very act of conceiving it is a creative act within the boundless and places it out there in existence, too. Note bene: The philosophical question of "Does it exist before your thought of it?" must remain in the realm of the Unknowable.

Notes[edit]

Two notes when referring to such an enigmatic metaphysical concept:

  • The usage of the word "possibility" above is a convenience within the context of time, for in the aforementioned space where all is held *at once*, All simply Is.
  • Contradictory propositions are simply held orthogonally to each other (not unlike how the imaginary numbers are held independently from the real numbers), so there is no real "logical problem".

Significant Applications[edit]

Perhaps the most significant application of this Law (and result?) is in answer to the question of the existence of God. If it is possible that there could be a perfect formulation of the Universe (akin to a unified Theory of Everything), then it should surely have been created/discovered/embodied "by now" somewhere, for that which has value would persist.

In other words,

  • if eternity exists AND
  • if perfection is possible, AND
  • if it's possible to be/become everything in the universe THEN
    • GOD exists

...But, did you kill her/him?

If this is the Hebrew God, then he/she existed before gender existed, according to narrative of the Hebrew Testament, so is technically ungendered in this example. The expression of Will to assemble the world may have created the male anatomy and masculine energy (as it/he also had to encompass the serpent), so might explain the use of gender in the Bible for the corporeal form.

Compare also as a more specific formulation of Plato's Realm of Ideals.

Exhibit 1[edit]

Here's an interesting, esoteric tidbit:

  • eln 2 = 2.

Now that is 2.718... the transcental number e to another irrational ln 2 = 0.6931.... and resulting in a perfect integer. What is the probability of that happening within the field of the uncountable(?) reals? When you understand what e represents, you'll begin to understand when the word "transcendental" applies. That is more than just irrational -- it is something that touches, well, the transcendant: the Creation.

I posit that the equal sign is tranferring values from one mathematical domain (the Creator`s), to ours, where there are integers.
