If you want to be an angel or a business owner wanting to keep your street cred, you can donate to most hackerspaces and get a taxes write-off, even be a hero. Those with 501c3 designations are easy, but be sure to read a space's Statement of Purpose and see if your net of good-tidings can reach a wider audience.
Be ahead of the crowd. Give the slip to the sophmoric "ROI" understanding of the business classes and go for building legacies of social and cultural value. We've seen what the old model can do.
Find a space. Ask about their monthly expenses, their wishlist of equipment, their best/current projects, and for the founders. 'Suss it up and get that trickle-down economic value flowing and producing for the next generation.
