RZL Hauptraum.jpg

First hack*space in the area. Plenty of nerds and cool projects. Guests very welcome!

Mannheim is the biggest city in the Rhein/Neckar area. Close to Heidelberg, Ludwigshafen and also Walldorf, where a small software company is located.

More information (in German) at raumzeitlabor.de

What we provide (currently everything is under construction):[edit]

  • Kitchen - feel free to collaborate and create tasty food whilst discovering the huge amount of different ingredients
  • Electronics Lab - soldering, oscilloscopes, microscope, PCB etching, ...
  • Makerspace - Automatic sewing machines, laser-cutters, 3D printers. Feel free to discover the various possibilities and build your childhood dreams
  • Game Console Lounge Area - cozy room with NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, PlayStation, ...
  • Wood Workshop - cellar area separate from the main hackerspace rooms
  • Main Room provides space for over 30 people

Activities[edit]

Due to our very heterogene member types, there are several different activities (have a look in our calendar or the wiki for a full list). These range from the usual, general weekly meeting on Tuesdays over group-specific and topic-related meetings (e.g. our micro processor breeders) up to project-, workshop-, cooking- or seminar events.

As the active projects tend to change very often, drop by in Matrix or IRC.
