The London Hackspace is a non-profit hackerspace in central London: a community-run workshop where people come to share tools and knowledge.

We're a thriving community of hackers, electronics geeks, makers, tinkerers, metal and woodworkers, lockpickers, knitters, beer brewers, amateur radio enthusiasts and much more. We can guarantee that at least one other member shares your interests.

Our space has a well-equipped workshop for metal and woodworking, a 3D printer, a laser cutter, electronics equipment and components, desk space, sewing machines, and much more. We're constantly buying more useful tools and parts for our members.

Since our founding in February 2009 we've grown from a small group of enthusiasts to become the UK's largest hacker space with several hundreds of paying members and a huge number of casual attendees. We're funded by membership subscriptions and donations. Members get full transparency on where their money is going, as well as a say in how it's spent.

Members[edit]

  • There is almost always someone in the space - and are always willing to help.
  • Every member gets a box to store projects and access 24/7 by RFID.
  • Tuesday nights are social nights - anyone is welcome to come along and have a look round.

Talks and Workshops[edit]

  • Many take place at the hackspace, for almost any subject.
  • Members can offer to put on a workshop, or ask for one to take place.
  • Upcoming events.
