f.k.a. Metalab flat in Berlin
Because of many interesting events in Berlin - above all, the 26C3 of course - the Viennese Metalab & friends decide to search for a shared apartment there.
Parameters for the apartment[edit]
- In which district of Berlin should the flat be?
- Mitte
- Prenzlauer Berg
- ev. Friedrichshain
- Kreuzberg
- District 9
- somewhat close to 26C3 (and thus the C-Base)
- Any extras we want to have (if possible)?
- DSL. I will never live anywhere without the internets again.
What can we bring to make it comfy?[edit]
This is for our lovely flatmates: Since we'll be coming from Vienna by car and have some tiny little space in the trunk left (I assume), please list here anything you think we should not forget to bring!

This Berlin extravaganza is now planned for Sat, Dec. 19th - Sun, Jan. 10th Tue, Dec. 22nd - Tue, Jan. 05th (rescheduled due to expenses'n'stuff)!
On Dec. 24th, we plan a party in classic Alvistide manner.
26C3 will be Dec. 27th - 30th.
Not to forget to mention, there shall be a New Year's Eve activity of some variety, I hear ;)

Second Apartment - Friedrich's 13[edit]
This was booked and filled up in a matter of hours. There's some discussion of getting a third apartment for the overflow's overflow. There is no availability after the 30th, so we'll have to figure something else out.
I included actual dates of our stay at the front so maybe we can figure out who will still be needing accommodations until when.

Quick question for those of you planning on staying the whole length and getting in from Vienna (or along the way): Who'd be into making this a road trip? Sven Guckes is searching for flats around the congress. He is living in Berlin so if we need to check out adresses he will help us too.
As a Berliner, I'd advise you to look for a flat near a U8 subway station because both the bcc as well as c-base are near U8 stations. This means that you could get a cheaper flat in Neukölln or Wedding (south or north of the city center) and still be at the congress (or c-base) in 15 minutes. --Bausteln 23:10, 17 September 2009 (UTC)
